MOULTRIE, Ga. -- Gerald Brown Dorminey, 83, of Moultrie, GA., died Saturday, July 1, 2017 at his home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M Monday, July 3, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
Born May 7, 1934 in Sylvester, Ga., he was the son of the late Augustus Dorminey and Julia Brown Dorminey. He was a retired Machinist with Proctor & Gamble. He loved his wife and his family. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the Atlanta Braves.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Whittington Dorminey; his three sisters Sarah Stone, Dorothy Powell and Inez Layfield; his four brothers G.T Dorminey, Marvin Dorminey, Gus D. Dorminey and Lloyd Dorminey.
Survivors include two sons, Wade Dorminey and wife Vicki and Alan Dorminey, all of Moultrie; one daughter, Kaye Hornsby and husband Larry of Ft. Gaines; eight grandchildren, Kelli Dorminey Weeks, Heath Dorminey, Shana Dorminey, Austin Dorminey, Brian Dorminey, Russ Hornsby, Todd Hornsby and Kim Anderson; two great-grandchildren, Kimberley Anderson and Kayla Anderson and sister in law Wynell Dorminey.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M.- 11:00 A.M. Monday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
