Mr. Garland Braswell, 65, of Worth County died Saturday, September 16, 2017 at his residence.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Danny Smith will officiate.
Mr. Braswell was born on December 5, 1951 in Donaldsonville, GA to the late General and Lola Whitaker Braswell. He had lived in Worth County since 1984. Mr. Braswell was a Veteran having served in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed working on computers and being outdoors. Mr. Braswell worked as a Computer Technician with CTSI Technology. He was formerly employed with P&G for 26 years and Miller Brewing. Mr. Braswell was a member of Acree Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Braswell of Worth County; children, Christopher Braswell (Laura) of Marietta, John Braswell (Carla) of Athens; grandchildren, Chloe Smith of Lilburn and Adelyn Braswell of Athens; brothers-in-law, Clyde & Sharyn Shamlee and K.J. & Anna Wari; a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Braswell was preceded in death by his sisters, Linda Kohler and Dorothy Giddens.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Banks Funeral Home.
