MOULTRIE GA- Ellieque Allegood, 81, of Moultrie, died Monday, April 8, 2019 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Friday, April 12, 2019 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Terry Webb officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
Casketbearers will be Andy Parker, Tim Parker, Buddy Bass, Ronnie Blalock, Mike Wingate, Denny Sellers, Shane Neeld and Tim Bass. Honorary casketbearers will be Ray Parker, Gene Sellers, Raymon Buckner, Dennis Alligood and Larry Cone.
Born July 4, 1937 in Moultrie, he was the son of the late W.J. Allegood and Annie Belle Hunt Allegood. Mr. Allegood was a United States Air Force Veteran and retired from General Telephone as a construction supervisor. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Laverne Willingham; brothers-in-law, Bubba Willingham, Wiley Sellers.
Survivors include his children, Marsha Strickland and Dennis of Cincinnati OH, Hugh Allegood of Bay GA; grandchildren, Jill Fitzpatrick and Bob, Heather Gooch and George; great-grandchildren, Madison Fitzpatrick, Savannah Fitzpatrick, Liam Fitzpatrick, Daisy Fitzpatrick, Sophia Gooch, Charlotte "Charlie" Gooch; honorary grandchild, Heather Bryant and Steven; brother, Irvin Allegood and Kim of Moultrie GA; sisters, Geraldine Luff and Gary, Sadie Sellers all of Moultrie GA.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.

I’ve known Ellieque for many years, but recently became reconnected at Temple Baptist Church. We enjoyed sharing memories of earlier days. I was so glad to see that he had given his life to Jesus.
