Born February 13, 1947 in Moultrie, Ga., he was the son of the late William Spencer Odom and Alavan Weeks Odom. Elkin and his wife Bonnie operated the long-standing Moultrie Business B&E Appliance Service since 1970. He was loved dearly by his family, his daughters and many others and will truly be missed. His family remembers how everyone considered him the go to person for any vexing mechanical or technical issues. Elkin could just about fix anything you brought him.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Bonnie Cooper Odom of Moultrie, Ga.; two daughters, Cindy Byrd and Greg of Winter Park, Fla., April Odom and Kip of Maitland, Fla.; brother, Yancy Ben Odom and Shirley of Moultrie, GA.; two sisters, Keva Thompson of Douglas, GA. and Fern Crawford of Milledgeville, GA. and formerly of Moultrie, GA.; brother in law, Billy Cooper and Glendia of Tifton, GA. and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.
