Dorothy Faye Crosby Waters

HARTSFIELD, Ga. -- Dorothy Faye Crosby Waters, 81, of Hartsfield, Ga., died Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Pruitt Health Magnolia Manor.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ron Shiver officiating. Interment will follow in Hartsfield Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Mrs. Water's grandsons.
Born December 29, 1935 in Norman Park, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Willie Lee Crosby and Vera Ricks Crosby. She was employed at Hartsfield Post Office and was associated with Warner's. Mrs. Waters was a member of Weeks Chapel United Methodist Church. Her family remembers how she loved bird watching, collecting arrowheads and antiques. Mrs. Waters loved her family and enjoyed Sunday family luncheons and sitting in her swing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Herman Crosby and W.L. Crosby; sister, Ellen Shaw; son-in-law, Charles Wheeler Mercer, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Franklin Waters, Sr. of Hartsfield, Ga.; two daughters, Shelly Water Mercer of Moultrie, Ga., Robin Waters Bush and Smiley of Blakely, Ga.; son, Charles F. Waters, Jr. and Sheila of Hartsfield, Ga.; ten grandchildren, Immanuel John Waters, Ricky Lee Erskine, Joshua Von Erskine, Clinton Reed Bush and Ashley, Cody Tyler Bush, Martin Sullivan and Amber, Joshua Sullivan and Gracie, Dustin Waters, Austin Sullivan and Ashley Waters and friend Jay Powell; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Crosby and Sarah Nell of Moultrie, Ga.; sister, Gail Smith and George of Moultrie, Ga.; special friend, Ricky Erskine of Moultrie, Ga.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM -2:00 PM Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
