CAMILLA, Ga. - Donnie Ray Stanfill, 66, of Camilla, Ga. formerly of Moultrie died Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Wilson Hospice House.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Southside Baptist Church in Camilla with the Rev. Neil Hager and Rev. Stephen Beck. Interment with Military Honors will be held at 4:00 PM in Reedy Creek Cemetery in Moultrie.
Casketbearers will be Jerry Young, Floyd Crosby Jr., Gentry Tillman, Steve Stanfill, Robbie Stanfill and Jordan Tillman. Honorary Casketbearers will be Floyd Crosby Sr. and the Employees from Mitchell EMC.
Born November 17, 1950 in Moultrie, Ga. he was the son of the late D.E. "Gene" Stanfill and Jeanette Horton Stanfill of Moultrie. Mr. Stanfill worked in the engineering department of the Mitchell County EMC. He also served in the United States Army serving as part of the Honor Guard in Washington, DC.
Survivors include his wife Connie Tillman Stanfill of Camilla, Ga.; daughters Jennifer Stanfill of Camilla, Ga., Jessica Young and husband Jerry of Camilla, Ga.; mother Jeanette Horton Stanfill of Moultrie, Ga., grandchildren David McMahon, Aidan McMahon, Wyatt Young, Kerri Young, Nate Young; sister Faye Taylor Jacksonville, Fla., and other family members.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 10, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Memorials can be made to the ALS Association.
