MOULTRIE, Ga. - Donald Davis Mims, 71 of Moultrie died Saturday, April 8, 2017 at his home.
Funeral service were held 11:00 AM Monday, April 10, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Elder E.L. Buck Wood and Elder Thad Marshall officiating. Interment followed in Sardis Cemetery.
Casketbearers were Scottie Sinclair, Rusty Griner, Chris Mims, Wesley Mims, Brandon Sanders and Hunter Tillman.
Born September 29, 1945 he was the son of the late C.M. Mims and the late Sallie Eldridge Mims. He was a retired rural mail carrier from the United States Post Office and a Deacon at Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters Lavada Miller, Dorothy Hood and Ollie Williams.
Survivors include his wife Faye Mathis Mims of Moultrie, Ga.; son Donald Gregory Mims and wife Donna of Moultrie, Ga.; daughters Donna Faye Hartsfield of Moultrie, Ga., Kimberly Barineaw and husband Bill of Moultrie, Ga., Tammy Tillman and husband Kevin of Scottshill, Tenn.; grandchildren Donald Christopher Mims, Kala Brumfield, Charley White, Wesley Mims, Casey English, Brandon Sanders, Turner Tillman, Jescie Rae Tillman, Hunter Tillman; great-grandchildren Kylie Tiller, Donald Cotton Mims, Eden English, Bowyn English, Jade Brumfield, Bentley White; sisters Lois Sinclair of Moultrie, Ga., Shirley Griner of Moultrie, Ga.
The family received friends from 10.00-11:00 AM at Cobb Funeral Chapel Monday, April 10, 2017.
