Deborah Smith Durham MOULTRIE, GA.- Deborah Smith Durham, 59, of Moultrie, died Monday, December 3, 2018 at UF Health Shands in Gainesville, FL.
Funeral service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Heritage Church with the Rev. Danny Moree and Mr. Donnie Edwards officiating. Interment will be in Hartsfield Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Bruce Boring, Bobby Davis, Ken DeMott, Randy Boozer, Mark Gay and Gary Jacobs.
Born April 15, 1959 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of C.J. Smith of Hartsfield and the late Alene Gay Smith. Mrs. Durham was the office manager and partner of Bull Durham Insurance & Investment and a member of Heritage Church. Debbie was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend. She saw the good in every person she knew and met. She was a member of the Serenaders and Acapella Choirs in High School and continued singing and playing piano for the rest of her life. She loved working in her flowers and had a magnificent collection of daylilies, well known as "Debbie's Daylilies". She loved spending time with her friends and family, trips to the beach, HGTV and Hallmark movies, especially this time of the year, Christmas. Debbie was a great cook and her famous pecan pies will be greatly missed. Debbie left behind a great legacy of love and caring that will be lived out through the many people whose lives she touched and impacted throughout this community and the world.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her uncles, Dalton Gay and Eugene Gay; aunt, Virginia Gay.Survivors include her husband, David W. Durham of Moultrie; children, Donna D. Edwards, Drew C. Durham and Jordan all of Moultrie, Davis D. Durham of Hartsfield, Diana M. Durham of Moultrie; grandchildren, Will Edwards, Walker Edwards, Samuel Edwards and Joanna Durham; brother, Brad Smith and Jan of Moultrie; aunt Catherine Cole of Hartsfield; uncle Jack Gay of Hartsfield and other family members.
The family will greet friends after the service at Heritage Church.
