MOULTRIE, GA. -- Carl Lavon Miller, 67, of Moultrie GA, died Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held 4:00PM Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Matt Greene officiating.
Born October 17, 1950 in Moultrie GA, he was the son of the late Carl Evin Miller and Edna Norman Miller. Mr. Miller retired from Moultrie Technical School as a heating and air conditioner instructor. His family remembers how he had a passion for teaching and photography.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brothers, Donnie Miller, Randy Miller and Ronnie Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Smith Miller of Moultrie, GA; daughter, Melanie Gibson and Steve of Wellston, OK; step-sons, Zane Walden and Angie of Moultrie, GA, Lance Walden and Diedra of Tifton, GA; grandchildren, Taylor Gibson and Chelsea of Shawnee OK, Will Gibson Wellston OK, Kolby Walden of Moultrie GA, Karley Walden of Moultrie GA, Matthew Walden of St. Mary's GA, Michael Walden and Ashley of Adel GA; great-grandson, Emmett Gibson of Shawnee OK; sister, Gail Merritt and Charles of Moultrie, GA; mother in law, Elizabeth Smith of Moultrie, GA; brother in law, Jerry Smith and Barbara of Moultrie, GA.
The family will receive friends after the memorial service on Wednesday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
