MOULTRIE, Ga. -- C.P. Cooper, 86, of Moultrie, Ga., died Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Lakeside Assembly of God with Rev. Donnie Lewis and Rev. Darrell Owens officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Cole Pitts, Craig Pitts, Bryant Brown, Heath Tatum, Steve Sanders and Chris Thomas. Chance Pitts will serve as honorary casketbearer.
Born July 15, 1930 in Moultrie, Ga., he was the son of the late Leslie Laffette Cooper and Jewell Motley Cooper. Mr. Cooper was the owner of the Moultrie Pawn Shop where he retired from. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and father-in-law. Mr. Cooper loved sitting on his front porch, loved watching sports, and he also enjoyed going to the pawn shop and talking to his customers. He was preceded in death by his sister Gatha Ladson.
Survivors include his wife for 64 years, Sara Alice Sanders Cooper of Moultrie; son, Scott Cooper and wife Joy of Moultrie; granddaughters, Brittney Cooper and Abigail Cooper.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 7,2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
