MOULTRIE, Ga. -- Betty Jean Fillyaw Burnham, 85, of Moultrie, GA. died Wednesday, November 1,2017 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, November 4, 2017 at New Elm Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Holt and Rev. Andy Croft officiating. Interment will follow in the New Elm Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Junior O'Neal, Ken Parks, Mack Walters, Tony Crosby, Darrell Hagin, and Don Horne.
Born July 12,1932 in Doerun, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Spencer Fillyaw and Ethel Williams Fillyaw. Mrs. Burnham was a retired cashier at Cagle's Grocery.
In addition to her biological parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Thomas Burnham and her daddy Arthur Fillyaw.
Survivors include her son Gary Burnham and wife Vickie of Doerun, Ga.; three grandchildren, Andy Burnham, Todd Burnham and wife Nicole and Chelsea Burnham; great-grandchild, Harley Marie Burnham; sisters, Margie Sweat of Norman Park, Ga., Thelma Hembree and husband Brodus of Doerun,Ga.; brother James Fillyaw and wife Ceby of Doerun, Ga.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 3,2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
The family requested any donations be made to American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, and the New Elm Cemetery Fund.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with the Arrangements.
